Exodus 37 : The inner furnishings

March 6, 2024 ·

Summary:
The ark, table, lampstand, and altar of incense are crafted precisely as God instructed, with Bezalel, the chief craftsman, making the ark.

Key verse:
1. Bezalel made the ark of acacia wood. Two cubits and a half was its length, a cubit and a half its breadth, and a cubit and a half its height.

My thoughts:
Bezalel, the lead craftsman, had the privilege of creating the most crucial element of the tabernacle: the ark.

Interestingly, my study Bible, which typically dedicates a third of a page to notes (sometimes even more) on each page, offers just a single line in this section, suggesting readers refer back to previous notes. It seems I’m not alone in finding it challenging to add new commentary here!
